In characteristic humour, TOILETPAPER is the magazine spearheaded by contemporary artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari. Part of the Gufram universe of bold, provocative and surreal obsessions, TOILETPAPER is composed entirely of images realised by the two artists. Conflating visual languages of advertising and fine art, TOILETPAPER’s highly choreographed iconography creates, in the words of its founders, “complex orchestrations which tease with their smiling, self-referential academicisms and art critiques.”
